Sand equivalent test

The sand equivalent test quantifies the relative abundance of sand versus clay in soil. The test is used to qualify aggregates for applications where sand is desirable but fines and dust are not. A higher sand equivalent value indicates that there is less clay‐like material in a sample

Our soil laboratory software “CiviLab” facilitates the processing of The Sand equivalent test and reduces the time required, also CiviLab provides high quality reports and archives them properly

In the Sand equivalent test you can use CiviLab to:

  • Calculate the sand equivalent (SE) ;
  • Save and print results appropriately;
